WINTER LEAGUE ROUND FIVE RESULTS FROM MIKE HEALEY MARCH 5TH 2024

Seniors - a misty, murky morning with a promise of sunshine. The rays came through eventually adding to a pleasant morning of golf. Our highest number to date in 2024 - 39 tallies were thrown into the bag and we set off in our groups for Round 5 of the senior Winter League. One unfortunate participant had to retire because of a ride-on failure but the rest battled it out in good finishing time. There was lots of count back on the cards for Stuart to sort out but he coped with it admirably. As usual, there were 10 league points up for grabs and 7 kitty competition prizes. I am attaching the up-to-date spreadsheet with results from all five rounds thus far and the astute observers amongst you will note that a certain member finds himself in an unassailable position going into Round 6 in a fortnight's time.
