With most Seniors playing in various knock out competition to day May 31st only 25 members competed in a Texas Scramble event. The winning team was Ernie Williams, Maelor Davies & Mike Hollings with 61.1

May 24^th Seniors Stableford Qualifier. Some 38 Seniors took part with many other Seniors competing in various Senior’s knock out competitions

On the same day the Seniors played Wrexham seniors in a match at Clays. The result was a win for Clays by 5.5 matches to 4.5. David L. Robert s of Wrexham had an ace at the 17th!

On Sunday May 8th the second weekend Captains mixed competition of the year was held at Clays. Despite the occasional heavy rain shower, an enjoyable time was had by all 22 competitors and was followed by a presentation of wine to the winners.

In the team competition the winners were Shirley Roberts and Graham Davidson-Clarke with Annie Lee (Lady VC) and Irwin Elkin finishing as runners-up.

Best ladies score (34 points) was returned by Annie Lee but, as she had also won a prize in the team competition, her prize was presented to Lady Captain (Diane Dare) who returned the second best score of 32 points on countback from Anne Richards.

Best men’s score (38 points) was returned by Graham Davidson-Clarke but again, as he had also won a team prize, his prize was presented to Mike Hollings who returned the second best score (34 points on countback from Irwin Elkin).

Further mixed competitions to be arranged throughout the summer.
