Winter League round 5 February 6th 2018 plus important message from Josh

Thank you to Steve Monk for today's results and to John Kelty for the 2's result.

Today was Round 5 of the Winter League, with 21 players ignoring the poor weather forecast to turn up and play. 17 holes were open although the 1st and 11th holes were shortened to par 3s. During most of the morning there was a slow, gentle snowfall but none of it stuck and scores were not really adversely affected. Results were as follows.

1st, scoring 10 points in the league - Martin Povey with 37 stableford points. Martin was the only player to card a 2 which he did at the 5th

2nd, 9 points - Barry Dare with 35.

3rd, 8 points - Andy Mitchell with 34. (better back 6)

4th, 7 points - Mike Healey also with 34.

5th, 6 points - Mike Drake with 33.

6th, 5 points - Don Wraight with 32.

7th, 4 points - John Kelty with 31.

8th, 3 points - Ernie Williams with 30 (back 9 of 19).

9th, 2 points - Tom McGrady with 30 (back 9 of 17).

10th, 1 point - Mike Kalka with 30 (back 9 of 14).

Please note that random spot checks will be carried out on the golf course as of today. So that we can easily identify you as a member please ensure you have your bag tag displayed or your membership card to hand, thank you.

If you require a new bag tag or you haven't been issued with one please call in at the golf reception.
