35 players contested a Pairs Betterball competition today, but most of
them
returned to the clubhouse in a very wet state following a
torrential storm
which occurred in the last few holes. The competition
was abandoned as not
all pairs were able to complete 18 holes before the
thunder and lightning
started. Therefore there are no results to report. Thankyou Steve for supplying this report. Derek was elsewhere playing a seniors singles knock out and no doubt tales of that match will circulate widely?
Cliff Evans did continue with
his 2's sweep and reported the following.....We had a rollover
added to the ball sweep today, with two players achieving a birdie two, and
both getting them on the fifth hole -Tony Jackson and Reg Taylor
Don Wraights lovely garden is looking lovely, alongside the 13th fairway
