This blog is to advise the introduction a local rules which shall amend wording for Rule 18 as recommended by the R&A. The Local Rule once introduced shall eliminate the penalty for any accidental movement of a ball or ball-marker on the putting green.If the ball was accidentally moved by the player, his partner, his opponent, or any of their caddies or equipment, there is no penalty and the ball is to be replaced and played from its original location.
