The weather could NOT have been worse for this annual event. It was pouring down as the event started.
Richard Key, Clays President welcomed everybody on the first tee and invited both Captains to take their respective drives in the most appalling conditions.
Prior to teeing off the Captains ( Pauline Peacock - Ladies Captain and Paul Williams - Club Captain) posed for their photo as below
Richard then invited the Captains to drive off. Firstly Paul Williams. Both of them held their nerve and drove of superbly. Their combined drive lengths will be published later as will the results of the competition which followed.
