March 20th Clays Seniors St Patrick’s Day
competition. This annual event attracted 52 Seniors. The event incorporated the
Ray Mortell Trophy awarded to the competitor with the best individual
stableford score. The competition was teams of 4 with the best 3 scores to
count. Despite some very windy and cold conditions some excellent scores were
carded. One Guest member, Ken Davies, carded the ONLY 2 of the day. Sincere thanks must go to Don Wraight for organising the event. He was assisted on the day by CLiff Lloyd the Seniors Treasurer who did valuable work in buying the "liquid prizes" !!
Results as follows.
Winner of Ray Mortell Trophy was Maelor Davies with 39
points even though he was not in any of the winning teams.
