Clays Seniors Annual Devon trip news

Fred Court sent me details for the week as below:-

It was a good week down at Okehampton. Golf all round was not brilliant, but the weather overall was better than average.

Winners are:-

Ramnee Trophy Tony Harcombe ; 127 pts. Tony Jackson 123, Stuart Miles 120

Forrest Trophy (Tony Harcombe not able to win both) is Tony Jackson ; nett 69, Mike Hollings 71,Terence Keen 72

28 my A*** Terence Keen with Four holes counting.

Thursday June 12th. Seniors kitty competition – format being best stableford score on front 9, best score on back 9 and overall winner over 18 holes. No one to win all 3 events!

Winner front 9 – Brian Mercer with 19 pts

Winner back 9 – Andrew Mitchell

Overall winner – Tom McGrady with 39pts. In second place Bernie Peters on countback from Peter Fraser with 37pts and third Peter Fraser with 37pts. Tom won despite having a 2 shot penalty from 2 days ago! He even had 1 blob and 2 holes with only one point- well done Tom!

As the weather was glorious everyone went outside to hear Stewart announce the winners as best he could!!
