KITTY COMP RESULT FROM STUART
Seniors, good evening, sorry for the late report, had to wrestle my notebook from my granddaughter, who said I can use it for 10 minutes. Firstly thankyou to Chris Blazdell for helping with the draw and a big thank you to Steve Monk who collected the cards, sorted the prize money out and sent me the results. With the team away we still had 24 seniors put their tallies up, perfect for 6 x 4 balls for the Multiplier, well it was 24, till after the draw was made and someone's tally hadn't been put up, so with a quick change the draw was altered to become 4 x 4 balls and 3 x 3 balls. Stuart winch of the week. No problem if you ask someone to put your tally up but please appear for the draw and check it has gone up. Tom McGrady does a superb job checking who's in and putting up tallies and it's a great help, but this time someone else was asked and it wasn't done, so please bear it in mind, winch over.
Sorry for the delay this morning but we had conflicting information about the greenkeepers who were doing the maintenance. Nothing was said about giving priority to them till fortunately Chris Blazdell read an email from Josh saying if the greenkeepers where on the green we had to pick up and move on, made for a difficult competition. Having checked with Josh who then checked with Mark it was agreed that if the green keepers were on a green we had to let them move and then play. Steve in his email to me said all the tees were forward and with aerating of the greens and sanding putting was not ideal, but we knew it was maintenance week and this work has to be done, so we have to do our best.
Result.
3 balls. Chris Jacques, Steve Hannaby, Alan Barnsdale 109 points.
4 balls. Jon Falcus, Steve Williams, John Kelty, Peter Taylor 117 points, c/b on back 9.
Right, sorry for the long winded report, granddaughter wants her computer back now. I'm not there Thursday but hopefully Mike will be, enjoy and catch up next Tuesday.
Cheers.
Stuart.
