INDIVIDUAL STABLEFORD RESULTS VIA MIKE HEALEY

Seniors - I think most players today thought they might have beaten the forecast of rain by 10.00am. Unfortunately, it arrived an hour later with one particular heavy burst, followed by a top up as everybody was finishing. The instructions from the outset were to pick up and walk on if the greenstaff were working on a hole (Maintenance Week). Tom McGrady requested or was it insisted that we sing "Walk on! - Walk o o o on!" but nobody complied and he walked alone! The Senior Captain awarded a par score for each green missed out but thankfully it was not needed. The tees off yellow were placed well forward to protect the tee greens, which in turn, enhanced the scores. The decision before the competition was to declare it a non-qualifier with shortened tees, tyning and sanding of greens.
