July 26th Stableford competition

 On a hot and humid day some 20 Seniors played an individual stableford.
  Many more of the Seniors were away at Rhuddlan in a Seniors Open. The best scores of Clays Seniors at Rhuddlan were  Mike Hollings & Neil sanger 40pts, followed by Stewart Poole and Eifion Jenkins with 39 pts.

Thursday July 19th Format best 2 scores fron 9 and best 3 scores back 9

     The weather was warm yet scores were somewhat low! On the 16th Derek managed to photo 

     young pheasants with mum near the pond.

Seniors Medal July 12th 2012

   The weather was glorious today with no excuses for poor scores.

   However Derek managed to come last  in  the medal. One would have thought he had never played golf

   before!! Mind you he did par the 9th!

             Above shows Malcolm Williams in bunker at the 9th. He chipped out and got his par! Derek did

             likewise from same bunker to get his par!

 

           

            Above shows Derek's ball after his drive on 15th....came to rest within yellow line on

            far side of ditch..hence could not ground club. Took rescue club and ball went back into ditch

            Dropped under penalty etc and from there managed a 9!

On Saturday July 14th Clays Seniors member Bill Kelleher won the Seniors prize on Captains Day..well done Bill

                         

                              

           

July 10th 2012 news

 

Clays Seniors managed a win against Aldersey Green on July 10th, albeit by the tightest margin - 5.5 to 4.5!
Harold Hughes,  Keith Jones and Bill Hughes all had 2's, winning 4 balls each.
