REPORT FROM STUART KITTY COMPETITION MEXICAN SCRAMBLE

Seniors, what a glorious day for a game of golf, very pleasant weather, let's hope it lasts. The course is looking better each week and a thank you goes to Mark and his team. 46 seniors put their tallies up which I think must be the best for a kitty comp for a long time, this meant 7 teams of 4 and 6 teams of 3 playing a Mexican Scramble. It was my first time playing this game and it was most enjoyable. This format was the Captain's suggestion, so thanks Mike, one that I will include again. Results. (two prizes each groups) 4 Ball. 1st Alan Barnsdale, Les Williams, Peter Thomas, Alan Bottomley 60.7. 2nd Mike Scott, Richard Collier Graham Byrne, Graham Wright. 62.0 3 Ball. 1st Stuart Miles, Brian Beaton, Steve Graham. 65.1 2nd George Hughes, Mike Healey, Dave. A. Jones 69.4 Thanks to my 2 partners for an enjoyable day with the bonus of winning, which, I know it was noted at the presentation, but I did say I would mention it again, in no small part to Brian's 81 yard chip in on the 18th for an eagle. Well done Brian, must be going out first that helped (a standing joke between Brian and myself as he always seems to be last of the 16th and blames me for the draw.) See you on Thursday for another kitty comp, this time, Waltz. Stuart.
