3 holes were closed.....2, 16 and 17. The others were open and playable although the 1st was from a very forward tee and 11th on a temporary green
Today, for a pleasant change, there was no rain but conditions were still very damp with a heavy dew and moist air both conspiring to prevent the ball from travelling as far as would normally be the case. Nevertheless, 37 players enjoyed a Texas Scramble competition over 15 holes, playing in 7 teams of 4 and 3 teams of 3. The usual handicap adjustments were made to compensate the 3-ball teams.
Results were:
1st - Don Wraight, Bob Jarvis and Steve Monk, with 49.7
2nd - Frank Rodenhurst, Nigel Harris, Graham Bryne and Martin Povey, with 49.9
3rd - Dave Palferman, Nigel Davies and Malcolm Williams with 51.3
