The weather for the above event started on frosty frozen greens and fairways which made accurate iron shots into the greens difficult. Frost on the greens meant one had to putt the ball somewhat firmer to get it anywhere near the hole. Mind you looking at the scores above some of the guys found no difficulty!

Seniors AGM December 6th 2011

At the AGM held on December 6th some 46 Seniors attended. Seniors Captain Bob Brown chaired the meeting and precised his report whilst at the same time responding to various questions and requests from those members present. After his report he handed over to the new Captain, Colin Brown. Colin then continued chairing the meeting at the end of which he presented the DonDerBuckles Trophy the Steve Monk

Seniors Open at Frodsham

This event was attended by some 40 Clays Seniors who played in teams of 4 with best scores counting. Format was stableford off 3/4 handicaps. Derek Lyons team of Bill Duncan,Bill Kelleher and Keith had 71 points with 2 2's on one par 3 winning them 12 golf balls! After the event everyone enjoyed a wonderful 3 course Xmas meal. The only downside of the day was the strong wind and low temperatures. When we got there we found snow on some of the greens!

Portugal Golf Trip

A few of the lads spent a week in Portugal. Some photos below. Looks like they all had a good time?

Florida trip 2011

We all had a great time visited 8 different courses of which all were fabulous. everyone very welcoming, weather too was brilliant with only 2 days which were not so good.

Some flew in a bi-plane which was an awesome experience. Managed to visit New York on the way home

 Our first golf course was The Tides. very much the lowest course we played and went on to play better courses. 10 rounds all together.

Visited the Fantasy of Flight museam with lots of old aircraft, very nice.Lads in New York managed to get time to go up the Empire States and to Time Square absolutley brilliant according to Don who supplied these photos

Wild life on the amazing courses was brilliant I'm told. Lovely photos below
