Happy New Year one and all. 25 Seniors took part in the New Year Waltz on Tuesday 2nd. There are still only thirteen holes open but the course was showing good signs of drying out and although there was a cooling wind, the conditions were relatively good. We played two separate competitions and the following members put their good foot forward:
Three Ball
First - Alan Barnsdale, Maelor Davies, Mike Griffiths 53 points
Second - Graham Bryne, Bob Brown, Peter Thomas 48 points
Four Ball
First - Andy Mitchell, Tony Harcombe, Bob Jarvis, Peter Taylor 59 points
Second - Don Wraight, Ken Tieszen, Harold Hughes, Keith Hawthorn 58 points
Reminder for next week - Tuesday 7th - Winter League Round 2, Thursday 9th - January Medal.
