Today we played Pairs Betterball; 30 players turned up so we had 15 pairs. 17 holes were playable although the 1st and the 11th were significantly shortened so played as par 3's. The 2nd was closed.
Winners were:
1st - Martin Povey and Joe White with 42 points.
2nd - Bob Brown and Harold Hughes with 41 points.
3rd - John Kelty and Nigel Davies also with 41 points (on countback).
4th - Peter Fey and Cliff Davies with 40 points.
In the 2's competition, Maelor Davies and Colin Brown shared the prize, with Maelor scoring his 2 on the 5th and Colin holing a longish putt on the 17th for his 2. Colin hit a 3 wood onto the green and then proceeded to putt for his 2.
