Seniors 3ball kitty competition Stableford/best 2 scores to count April 28th 2016

A planned pairs comp for today was changed to a 'Threeballs - best 2 scores to count on each hole' comp because 33 players were present. The weather started off very pleasant but changed after several holes to a cold, windy and damp morning. Thankyou to Steve Monk and Cliff Evans for providing the results. Derek was suffering with his bad back problem!!

Prizewinners were:
1st: Bill Parrish, Harold Hughes and Cliff Evans with 76 points.
2nd: Ian Ketland, Mike Drake and Peter Almond with 73 points.

3rd: Dilly Jones, Reg Taylor and Bill Kelleher with 71 points (on countback).

Seniors Stableford April 26th 2016

Senior Stableford

36 players played an Individual Stableford competition. Conditions were very difficult; not only was there a constant strong, cold wind but also the greens staff were very busy applying sand to all of the greens.

It has to be said though that the team of Derek Lyon, Nigel Davies and Ron Roberts had an "8" club for all 3 players scored that number on one if not others!....Derek perhaps the worst. Ron had a superb back 9 and even managed to birdie the 15th. Nigel had a birdie on the 11th.
