Some 37 Seniors played today in warm, muggy conditions.
Results:
1. Nigel Davies 40 points even with 1 points on 17th and 18th
2. Bob Brown 38 points
3. Derek Lyon 38 points on countback which included 2 "blobs"
4. Stewart Poole 38 points even after scoring 24 points on front 9.
5. Ernie Williams 37 points
6. Frank Carroll 37 points
7. Don Wraight 36 points
Some interesting events took place today. Stewart Poole went to within 10cm of the hole with his second shot on the 8th. Needless to say he got his birdie. See also this link about Stewart
On the 5th hole 2 players in the parings almost had aces! Again they each carded 2s..namely Nigel Davies and Derek Lyon. Nigel played a 7 iron and Derek his trusty driver.
