Clays Captain Bob Brown had a great day with results as follows:-
Main competition results reflected a
clean sweep for the Evans family as below;
1st prize - Mike Evans - 40 points
2nd prize - Andy Evans - 39 points
3rd prize - John Evans - 38 points on
countback.
Lowest gross score - 66 - Mike Evans
Ladies Prize - Hazel Bell - 39 points
Seniors prize - Bill Kelleher - 37
points
Visitors Prize - Martyn Maddocks - 37
points
Junior Prize - Sean Plunkett - 44
points
In
recognition of the great performance by young Sean, the Captain has decided to
award him an additional 'bonus' prize.
The Men’s 'Straightest Drive' prize
went to Seniors Section Treasurer, Cliff Lloyd, whilst the Ladies 'Straightest
Drive' prize went the way of past Ladies Captain, Diane Dare.
The prize for the Men’s 'Nearest the
Pin' on the 12th hole, went to Henlle Golf Club member, Allan Brown, whilst the
ladies Prize for 'Nearest the Pin' on the 5th, went to Mrs Jan Keen.
There were 9 cards showing a score of
2, and each player received a dozen Callaway Golf Balls as a prize for their
achievement. They were; John Evans, Bill Kelleher, John P Morris, Kevin Wyn
Jones, Anthony Mcallister, Martyn Maddocks, David Abell, Allan Brown, and Paul
Fell.
The prize presentation was followed by a hot buffet meal and a disco, and a great day was had by all.
