Seniors Texas Scramble January 31st 2013

Quite a large number of Seniors played despite the near gale force winds!

    Results as follows with only 2 prizes being awarded:-

January 29th 2013 Pairs Betterball

After nearly 2 weeks of no golf due to severe snow conditions all was well today for a pairs betterball kitty competition. The course was in remarkably good condition and not  muddy as one would have thought. Only 16 dedicated Seniors competed and results below:-

January 17^th Seniors Stableford over 15 holes. Today was very, very cold indeed yet a hardy bunch of Seniors turned out to play. There was ice in many places including some bunkers. Bob Brown, Club Captain played a splendid bunker shot from a bunker in front of the 6th playing off ice. He got up and down in 2! Well done Bob.

January 8^th Seniors Texas scramble. All 18 holes were open today for this event.

Barry Evans told Derek it was OK to report he had one of the shortest drives ever!!
It was on the 4th hole and measured according to his playing partners no more than 18 inches!

 During todays competition Derek took copious notes of his playing partners as well as taking some videos! Andrew Mitchell drove very well today and managed on the 13th to drive into a bunker on left hand side of the green otherwise his ball would have been on the green! He played out of that bunker only to find the sand of the bunker in front and then attempted to get out 4 times before hitting a moving ball in the bunker in attempt to get out only to find the 5th tee.!! He was not happy and ended up with a "blob" Tom McGrady played very well...again some may say!....and scored 31 points over the 15 holes played including 2 blobs1
